On the outskirts of the small town of Kalambaka, east of the Pindos Mountains, the bizarre rocks rise into the sky.
These are the rocks on which the famous Meteora monasteries were built in the 14th century.
On the most famous rock is the monastery Agio Triada where even the famous James Bond movie "In deadly mission" was shot in 1981.

If you want to visit the monasteries, you have to pay attention to a special dress code. Arms and shoulders must be covered. Men must wear long trousers and women long skirts.

The monasteries usually open at 9:00 am and close at 18:00 pm.
