Getting there

Corfu Airport - take a taxi from the airport to the port, then take the ferry to Igoumenitsa, where we will pick you up at the port - 1½ hour ferry and 10 minutes by car.

Preveza Airport - we will arrange a transfer - 1 hour drive

Athens Airport - Ioannina - we will pick you up from Ioannina Airport - 45 minutes by car

Thessaloniki airport - about 320km BC Plataria away (car for 7 days, approx. 10-15 € per day)

With your own car via Italy - ferry from Ancona or Venice to Igoumenitsa

By car via motorway - Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, North Macedonia, Greece. Munich - Plataria route (approx. 1900 km)

Saturday, day 1 - ARRIVAL AND TRANSFER

After your arrival at the Plataria Palace we will greet you with a welcome drink. Before the enjoyable dinner at Plataria Palace we will talk about the upcoming week.

​

 

Sunday, day 2 - ARRIVE - ENJOY

On the first day, after a good breakfast, we take a long walk to explore the beautiful town of Plataria. Just arrive and relax. In the afternoon, with a good coffee and a piece of cake, we will tell you interesting facts about the history and culture of northwest Greece. In the evening we go to a nearby, traditional ouzerie tavern, for a joint ouzo and then dinner

Monday, day 3 - EXCURSION TO ACHERON

First of all, we fortify ourselves with breakfast.

Afterwards, take the bus to the legendary Acheron River. It goes to the village of Glyki in the center of the Acheron. There you can do rafting, horseback riding, zipline, kayak or just go for a walk. Then we drive to the origin of the Acheron and enjoy the pure nature. In the evening we meet for dinner in a fine fish restaurant in Plataria.

Tuesday, day 4 - WINE TOUR IN THE MOUNTAINS OF EPIRUS

First of all, we fortify ourselves with breakfast.

Then it goes by bus to the mountains of Epirus, where the good Greek wines are made. We take a look at a beautiful wine cellar and try some good wines. In the evening we enjoy a delicious meal in the Plataria Palace.

Wednesday, day 5 - EXCURSION TO PARGA

After breakfast we drive to the ancient Greek village of Parga. We enjoy the beautiful little streets and the picturesque harbor of Parga on a walk.

In the afternoon we drive to the mountain village of Perdika, where we have a fine dinner in the top restaurant "Krabbe" in the evening.

Thursday, day 6 - GOAT'S MILK AND CHEESE

First we visit a goat farm near the village of Paramithia, where we can watch and try the preparation of the typical feta cheese. With a glass of Retsina, we enjoy the freshly prepared cheese together with fresh bread.

In the evening we meet for dinner in a fine restaurant in Plataria.

Friday, day 7 - HIKING AND BARBECUE

Today it is in the mountainous landscape around Plataria. If you feel like it, you can enjoy the spectacular views over the shimmering light blue sea with us on a hike.

 

After the hike, we prepare for a romantic barbecue evening, which we will organize near the sea. (Weather permitting). We spoil our palates with fresh seafood, meat and vegetables.

Saturday, day 8 - DEPARTURE AND TRANSFER

A wonderful week comes to an end. We will take you back to the place where you will be leaving. Until then we can enjoy the mild autumn sun of Greece.

​
